DAMAVAND International SkiMo Festival 2019

It only takes one time to put your steps on it and you will certainly love to ski on it.

Our goal is to give everyone the chance to take part in Ski Mountaineering International Festival

Which is known as Damavand Skimo festival.

More importantly to provide this opportunity for iranians so we as Iran Seven Summit SkiMo Club with cooperation with Atour adventure group decided to hold the third annual SkiMo Festival by adding ISMF series races under the supervision of ISMF and MSFI.

May 11th 2019, The first day of the festival, it started by registration of athletes from Austria, Switzerland, Catalan and Iran and terminated with opening ceremony.

On the next day, the third Skimo festival was started by sky running race, the start point was at 2100 with the length of 8 km and participants ran the whole way up to 3000 m where they reach to the finish point. Here you can check the winners:

The third day (May 13th) the Ski Mountaineering race in Sprint category was held at 3100 meters above sea level, and participants had a chance to challenge themselves in an absolutely standard race. Here are the winners of the sprint race in both Women and Men categories:

Eventually the last day of the ISMF series, was completed by conducting the vertical race; the athletes participated in a race which was started at 3000m and ended to 3700 meters above the sea level. And the winners of the vertical race in both women and men category were:

On May 15th and 16th, to complete our goal by sharing knowledge and experiences of the all the athletes, a group ascent to top the summit of Damavand was leaded by the manager of the festival Mr. Hossein Salehi just to create a great memory for upcoming years.
